     Philosophy of Coaching

    My coaching and training philosophy is continually evolving but its present position is a result of training with weights since 1968 and creating and writing training programs on a percentage basis since 1972. My first high intensity training programs were made in 1972 and by 1976 I was writing volume percentage training programs. Thereafter programs were either HIT or VOLUME programs or programs that had elements of both.

    How do you build a great powerlifter?? Years ago I adopted this:

    • Background tonnage with successfull experience at heavy weights.

    • Successfull experience with heavy weights at small competitions and eventually high caliber competitions;

    • Always improving on your lifting technique.

    Of course what I stated here is very broad but I have precise things things that I like to do various stages backed by sound concepts and trainig principles. No matter what level the athlete is at I can meet them where they are and improve them.
